Alfred Sargent Hunt has all the quality of a British-made qualities as well as heritage. Having been around since 1899, they have gone through some hard time before overhauling their company direction and design in 2010. Currently they offer 2 range of product, Handgrade Line and Exclusive line. Apparently Exclusive line has hand patina as well.

My first pair of Alfred Sargents, and first pair of black shoes in a long time. Wilson cap toe from No Man Walks Alone. A special makeup without the broguing. Soft chisel toe 104 last. Nice entry into conservative business dress oxford/balmoral style. Quality is very good, solid, maybe a bit stiffer than Crockett and Jones, and true to my 10UK.

Alfred Sargent Hunt X Robinson's Shoemakers

Alfred Sargent Exclusive Hunt, mahogany, 109 last Alfred Sargent really gives much bang for the buck. The Exclusive line has about the same standard of the upper leather as Crockett & Jones Bencgrade, but the soles are oak bark tanned, closed channel and has a beautiful narrow fiddle waist, and still they are comparable in price.

205 and 348 look almost the same from above, but actually the 205 has a nicer waist and creases in a more pleasing manner. 99 and 341 are both fairly standard round toe lasts, nowt fancy. The 99 last is quite a snug fit though and feels closer to a 6.5 than a 7 in some ways. It's only the more generous width across the widest part of the foot.

Crockett & Jones' last 236 is a last with a typical classic round shape. Carmina's Oscar is another last with a classic round toe, which, however, differs somewhat from the C&J 236.. Brown Cap Toe Oxford A Wardrobe Cornerstone

The 109 is hard to capture accurately in photos, but it's everything a round dress last should be. The round toe makes for a classic, conservative design, but the narrow waist, asymmetrical shape, and low profile make it just as sexy as many more aggressive last shapes I've seen.

The fantastic shape of the 109 last. Just gorgeous. After an interesting dialogue regarding their services and selection of shoes, I also decided to purchase a pair of Alfred Sargent Hunts from their store. After a few years of slightly disliking the classic full brogue oxford model it started to slowly grow on me once again.
